Tok Ayah was not a fisherman (though he tried on many occasions), because he suffered from chronic sea sickness. He could had joined Tok Tan or Tok Long (mak Aji's uncles who were welknown JURAGANS and boats owners. Tok Long was known as Che Salleh kaya in Kuala Besut.
